DOC RxRelief
DOC RxRelief helps Virginians without prescription insurance get the medications they need for free. DOC RxRelief Patient Advocates help the patients and the referring practice navigate the often complicated process of applying to Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs). The program utilizes The Pharmacy Connection software which streamlines the application process. This program benefits both patients and private physician practices, and that the process fits neatly into practice operating procedures.
How does the program work?
Patients are referred to the program by their participating physician. The MSVF Patient Advocates work with these patients to collect the program application and all necessary income eligibility documentation. The advocate then uses The Pharmacy Connection (TPC) software to complete the patient's applications for medications, and submits this information to the appropriate pharmaceutical companies. In 8-10 weeks, the pharmaceutical company mails the prescription to the patient or prescribing practice.
What practices are eligible to participate in the program?
The program is available to the patients or physicians that are members of the Medical Society of Virginia. Not a member? Join MSV today!
