Physician profiles: quality improvement across the Commonwealth
19 July 2007
In conjunction with the Medical Society of Virginia's Annual Meeting, MSVF will host an educational program the morning of Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Homestead in Hot Springs. The program will feature a keynote presentation delivered by the Honorable Aneesh Chopra, Virginia's Secretary of Technology. Secretary Chopra's presentation, entitled Health Care IT: The Commonwealth's Perspective, will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in a dialogue on the opportunities for partnership between Virginia's physicians and the Commonwealth as both parties work to overcome adoption and integration challenges.
The keynote presentation will be followed by presentations on physician-implemented quality improvement strategies. Each of these sessions will provide participants of all specialties with opportunities to explore innovations in care, with presentations focusing on MRSA, cardiovascular disease, asthma and C-DIF.
