2010-11 Physician Leadership Institute fellows selected
29 July 2010
Twenty physicians have been selected to participate in the Medical Society of Virginia Foundation’s (MSVF)
fifth class of the Claude Moore Physician Leadership Institute (2010-2011). Participation in the program requires MSV membership, nomination by a local or specialty medical society and good standing in the physician community.
The Institute is a twelve-month program that begins in September and concludes with a graduation reception the following September. The Institute offers practical leadership training conducted by respected local, state, and national speakers on a variety of leadership topics, complemented by learning experiences which take advantage of national and state training opportunities and local experts that guide participants through focused learning efforts.
The application process is highly competitive and the selection committee considers applicants based on geographic and medical specialty diversity, as well as their desire to apply their Institute learning to impact positively the community, region and/or state in making final selections.
